Roll bar padding requirements?

Post by dleb » Tue Jun 28, 2011 12:07 pm

I have a DOT legal 1998 M3 with a 4-point Autopower bolt-in roll bar. I am registered in the SPB class. Can anyone confirm that padding IS NOT required? I have fixed back seats and a 6 pt harness.

Many thanks.

Any place on the roll bar that your helmet can reach has to be padded.

David, the rollbar is not required for SPB (glad you have one,though.. ) However,as Nate stated,if the existing rollbar may come in contact with the helmet,it needs to be padded.

Thanks guys. I'm all set, its a standard 4-pt bar behind the seat so the head comes nowhere near it.
