Yes to Factory hot rods.

Yes to Spring Diameter. but this rule should clearly state the use of threaded collars is legal even if a spring perch needs to be removed/replaced with a adjustable collar but that full coil over threaded body shocks are not allowed. I don't want to see only the hondas allowed to use height adjustable suspensions.

No to Race Team. Why,Why,Why would I want to race against a team. Go to nascar if you need to be a part of a team. A TT is a single driver timed event, this is not a mini 3 lap enduro.

Yes to SS Bushings. Bushings wear out and why would you replace them with rubber.

No to SS Impreza. SSB would be a fair placement in SS trim but In ST3 trim stiffer springs and bars would give the car too much grip to be fair with All wheel drive.

No to SS Conv. The hard top is an improvement so why should we let them remove weight also. This ammounts to removal of rear carpet which is not SS legal.
In general the club needs to clamp down of removal of rear carpet/seat material in SS. Some people are taking it too far.

No to SS Wheel Size. Why not let 14" upgrade to 15"?
That is what ST classes are for.

No to SS DOT. No support in the general driver pool.

Time trial points, This rule needs some carefull writing.
Yes to points for registered entrants in event of cancellation.
We have been given conflicting rules adjustments per event re. NHIS rain. that need to be set in stone.

Instructor pay, All perks provided to Instructors/Workers if they do exist need to be disclosed on the web site or in the rule book.

No to Registration the day of the event. The walk on fee needs to be more say $100 more. and the registrar needs to provide and make a judgement based on event capacity, not that the registrar knows the person or that they have connections.

No to New SP classes. We don't need more SP classes. We do need t o be more flexable with our SS placement.
-Z3 to stay in SSA
-Hyundia to SSB (car is very heavy for its power)
-ACR Neon 2000 to SSB see above
-SVT Focus to SSA
-Dodge Shadow ES 6cyl to SSB also very heavy and rolls alot
-Nissan Sentra all 2.5L 4 cyl to SSA the non-SE-R mosel now is offered with a 2.5L

Please reply I would like to hear from you.
03 rules changes on web site
It would be nice to know the official results of the 03' rules changes. Could they be posted on the web site before the banquet, I'm disappointed that no one has an opinion on the proposed rule changes that you would like to share.
Rules Outcome?
Has anyone heard results of the proposed rules changes?
Its getting near time to make plans and take some action on the 2003 season. Something on the web would be nice.
I was at the meeting where they voted on the rules, but I'm not a board member. I don't know about some of these, but I'll give it a shot:

I think factory hot rods are going to SS.

Dunno about spring diameter in ST.

Race team = no

I think stock bushings still have to be used in SS

dunno bout Impreza classification

dunno bout SS soft top removal w/ addition of hardtop

Pretty sure SS still requires stock wheel size but for a few exceptions based on practicality of getting decent tires

DOTrace tires still legal in SS

time trial points rule, dunno
points to registered entrants, I think something was done, dunno exactly

Instructor pay, dunno

I think registration the day of the event will still be allowed if there's space, with a modest fee. Why NOT?! At registrars/stewards discretion, of course.

No new SP classes

dunno about specific car classifications in SS

Well, that's what I know, don't know, and what I could be mistaken about Somebody pipe in if I'm wrong. It would be nice to have the rules by now.
