House for Sale -- Moving to Greensboro NC

Post by naschmitz » Sun Apr 03, 2011 3:49 pm

Hi Guys,

I think there are a couple guys in SPA that will read this and be very happy (Yes, Bill McMahon, I mean YOU!). I am being relocated to Greensboro NC this summer. http://www.nnerenmls.com/nne/maildoc/pe ... 41pm.html/

Regards, Bert

P.S. I still expect to claim podium points at Mosport, NHMS-1, NJMP, and Watkins Glen this year, so you SPA guys will have to earn it to win it.

Racing season there starts in Feb and goes to Dec, so you only get Jan off! So many events to choose from. But no time trials like COMSCC. I really like the ready, set, only the next three laps count, go!

I feel like we just got to know you, but of course....best of luck at your new place.

Are you sure you don't want me to campaign your car in SPA the rest of the year? :)

NASA looks like the next best thing to COM. I joined the NASA SE region already which will also allow me to compete in NASA-MA. But there is no actual time trial -- you go out with other cars with a transponder and just try to lay down fast laps. I like the COM format better as I always dropped a second or two during the time trials when you had clear track, no distractions, just hit your marks and put down your best time. Unless it rained during your laps, then the NASA format is better :D

Ah...I get it now.

You need the needle straight in your arm for 3 laps to get your kicks...

There is nothing quite like trying to control your heart rate as you wait in the hot pit before you start your run.

If you run TT w/ NASA I wouldn't worry about a fast lap, there are some very big guns in the TT group :) !!!!!
We have run w/ them HPDE style in the past & all my FFR buddies race w/ them, we have also had a couple COM guys go NASA in the last year or two (Kurt H & Jake P) ... they have all spoken very highly of the organization so far & from what I have seen I agree :) !!!!!!!!!!
