I'm looking for someone to do rust repair on my mothers '80 Mini Cooper. I have the car stripped down to the bare chassis. It needs floor boards and rockers (which I have) and a few other very small holes patched. There are some very small spots of surface rust as well. Ideally, I'll have someone who is experienced take care of the rust and the few dents then I'll prime and paint the rest of the car myself and then do final assembly.
Can anyone recommend a shop in the area that can take care of something like this?
Pete

Re: Anyone an expert at rust repair?
yep i own a body shop ! i would not want to give a car back in bare metal . it should get primed first with a cromated etching primer then a filler primer over that . the E-prining should get done asap after the metal work on each panel . then the plastic work can get done over the etch priner .its called plastic body filler not bondo . bondo is a brand not a product ! then after the plactic work you reprime any bare metal spots with an other coat of etching primer then a filler primer .
