I had a great time too, finally drove the track in the wet and camped out. Both are better dry. For the first time ever I was HAPPY to be staged at the tail end of the TT. Kudos to the event organizers and instructors, the sessions and TT went well despite rain, only a few "offs" but no major incidents! Hope everyone got home safely, there was a huge deluge in Montreal and northern Vermont but the traffic and border crossing was easy.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at NHMS in August and Watkins Glen in September. "Shake-n-Bake" will be back with his grill and bringing the heat! And afaik there is no sound metering at the Glen -- Zoom ZOOM ZOOM!

I would like to thank everybody who offered to help following my off-road adventure, including but not limited to Sam for the trailer ride home, and Nate who offered the use of his Rat for the time trial. Also big thanks to John, Nate, and Will, who helped me debrief the incident and try to piece together the causes, effects, and different approaches to take in the future. I greatly appreciate the efforts. Finally, there were so many offers of mechanical help, rides home, and cars to drive, that I lost count, but thanks to all who offered. I've seen this before, but haven't experienced it first hand until now. This this is a great club, and a fantastic group of people who go out of their way to help others, and I'm proud to be a part of it.

Despite the excitement of Monday afternoon, I had a great time as I always do at Mont Tremblant, and still love the track. I can't wait to go back again.

Finally, I'll add my voice to those who have praised the hot lap ride-along program. This was Diane's first visit to a track day, and not knowing what to expect she approached it with a little trepidation at the beginning. But as soon as she got the chance to talk to people, sit in on a class or two, and then experience the ride on the track, she loved it. She gained a whole new appreciation for what this is all about, which I guess is the whole point, so great job everyone! In fact, she had so much fun that I think I'm even mostly off the hook for taking her to the track on our anniversary! (The superb dinner at the expensive French restaurant might have helped there, too.) 8)
