Mont Tremblant track walk & cookout

Post by boltonite » Mon Jul 26, 2010 9:35 am

I am organizing a track walk for Sunday evening (~5:30). I've walked the track a few times and it helps to see pavement and camber and and elevation changes and to find reference points.

There will also be an informal cookout for anyone hanging around or camping. All are welcome to mooch or use my grill.

Don't forget to bring some mosquito repellent (and moose/deer/bear repellent, if you have any).

Also, Fred's BBQ is not to be missed. Meat on a stick, anyone?

+1 on the track walk being productive. I have walked that track every time I've been.

Love that place...

I'd be interested in a track walk.

How early can we drop off trailers at the facility? Would it be possible to park a trailer there on Saturday?

Thanks, Mark. Does anyone know of a place in the area where I could park a trailer Saturday until 5pm Sunday?

Where are you staying? Could you drop off there?

Sam, if he is staying at the VIllage it will be very difficult to drop off a trailer even at the outdoor parking.
I plan to be there early on Sunday so I will just head for the gate and hope they open on time or earlier). Sometimes there are other car events and tey let us in and park AWAY from where the current event is taking place so make sure if this is the case all COM members be very respectfull of the other club'ss privileges that day.

I will reiterate: We can "officially" get in the gate at 500 PM. If anyone is there earlier and creates a scene (you would have enter the paddock to turn around and go back out) it will not be good for COM. Use your best judgement!

Last time I was at Tremblont with COM I went for a walk around after the school. It's a habit because we always used to do these.

Anyway the cool thing is I found a starter motor on the side of the road - and then it turned out to be from my own car! I hadn't even notices it was missing ( yet! ). I did recollect a slight lurch as I took the left after the pits... It was pretty hilarious. I was holding it up by the wiring and saying "Hey, look what I found", as I was saying it though it started to look familiar. Sigh...
