Is there a new option in cars today that I have not heard about? I believe it is sold to mostly teenage/20 something girls.
It must be some sort of forward veiwing device for your car that rests in your lap.Like a periscope for a submarine.
I have never in all my days seen so many eyelids instead of eyeballs driving in the oppisite directon of me
Best of luck to all those driving motorcycles.

Last trip back from NHMS,I could not believe how many 6"x6" bright screens I saw stuck onto the dash or windshield, right in front of the driver. At night, they were very visible. At least the eyes of the "drivers" are pointed foreward. However, still too much of a distraction for many,as they seem almost mesmerized by them..Between people text messaging and watching their Garmins or other TV/DVD/ screen devices (

) the track is the only place I feel safe! I was thinking about a bike ride tomorrow, but I don't know...

No wonder there are so many gizmos controlling cars today.People don't seem interested in driving any more. Such a shame..

The most dangerous activity in my current life is the bicycle ride through the middle of Boston - by far, despite a general interest in going-fast activities (wheels, snow, etc).
It got a LOT worse for cyclists once people started texting while driving.
Did you see the study where they found that texting raises the risk of accident (read: killing a pedestrian/cyclist) 23 (!) times???
Recently, there was that accident where a Boston street car rear-ended another one. Driver was texting.

The bad news is that inattentive driving is on the rise. The good news is that there is an inverse correlation between inattentive driving and seat belt use.
