Re: scale at the track
That is a nice offer, but there are 2 sets of scales at the track already.

Some of our cars need something bigger than a postal scale...

Re: scale at the track
There are a set of scales in the tech shed in the north paddock, and in garage bay 1 in the south paddack. They are built into the floor and have power to then all the time. I have used them occationally.

Re: scale at the track
so you can use them to corner balance cars ?
Re: scale at the track
Yes, you just need to move the car back and forth over the scales to read each corner.

Re: scale at the track
It's wicked easy to use the scales in the tech shed. Disconnect all sway bars. Roll the front of the car on the scales. Read and record the right then the left. (you can do left and then right but then have to convert to metric). Next, roll the car forward so only the rear is on the scales. Record the right then left (or left and right and convert to metric).

Is that like using a metric adjustable wrench?

Re: scale at the track
Dave,
Too bad I can't attend this event as it on a weekday. I would have love to accept your offer to put my car on the scale.
Are you going to plan to bring it with you again at the last event in Oct, 31th? If you are I would love to see what my car weights.
Good luck with the event and I hope you have a fun time.
