I wondered how long it was going to take you to notice the ST4 results!!! We missed seeing you this past weekend.
BTW - during practice on Sunday morning Jason ran a 1:23.26.

1:23.26! Sorry I missed it. I think I'll just stay in this Flexeril haze and head back to bed!
Nice job guys!

Although not the fastest, I noted the lap times of David Boutelle, in his Spec 944, running in SPC. I do not think I have ever seen 3 more consistent laps! His spread for the 3 laps, slowest to fastest was only .056 seconds.....56 one hundredth of a second spread! David, you must have that car tied into a computer!

BTW, I think Joe was breaking in a new motor - not that Anthony Janes didn't do a great job - he did.

I missed you guys as well. I ended up recoverying from "severe corneal erosion" last week - basically a scratched cornea which hurts like hell and ends up blinding you for 4-5 days. I'm all better now and I will be prepping the car this weekend for the NHMS SCCA club racing school April 17th. The best part is Jason will be my crew! Nothing like a track record holder coaching my sorry ass.Mark Swinehart wrote:Mickey -

Honestly, 1:23.26 rocks in an ST4 car. Makes me want to slap a stock head back on and some Hoosiers and run ST4 again.

I have something to say:
NO Miatas were faster than me at NHMS1 2009.
So I guess I'm strictly AC again.
The wife should be pleased.
That is all.

You should strive for DC. AC still goes both ways.

Most notable in my book....122.931 Turned by a 72 year old driver in a 45 year old car. Way to go Wild Bill McMahon

Re: April NHMS event results are posted
I would consider that car more of a 2 year old car, because there are not many 45 year old parts left on it. But total kudos to Bill and Pat for getting it to gether. I saw them at the Nov Thompson swap meet with a steering rack in his hand and the next summer he was at the track with it.breakaway500 wrote:Most notable in my book....122.931 Turned by a 72 year old driver in a 45 year old car. New parts don't change the model year. Just ask Cher. I really like the fact that COM has such a diversified group of members and vehicles.

My new motor is 20 hp down from last year's old motor. "Corrections" will take a couple of months. Enjoy it while it lasts! ;o)DanB wrote:I have something to say:

A relatively quick 2006 Miata or two will upset the applecart at WGI...!

While we are on that kick, no Miatas beat me at NHMS in Nov 2008, nor at WGI in April 2008.DanB wrote:I have something to say:

And, actually, direct current would be preferable to ALTERNATING, wouldn't you say? Of course, I have no idea what way your wife prefers
