Some students in my classroom have been privileged to see this.
Saw him at one of the Canadian GP chatting with Emerson Fittipaldi. He was wearing the green hat from the Jaguar F-1 Team.

Back in the 80's I was at Lime Rock for a lightly attended Friday-Saturday Trans-Am event. Mr. Newman came over to our camp site. He was catching the setting sun not far from us, I yelled "good luck tomorrow", and he just drove over. He talked to us about the poor spectator turn out and the track in general for a little while. What a down to earth cool guy. Somehow I feel like an old friend has passed.
