NHIS SCCA Test Day - Fri 9/7 - Help?

I will be at this Friday's test day at NHIS (event is for SCCA cars and licensed drivers only). Any other COM members planning on being there?

I need help with tire pressures / temps / etc. Have the tools, need some help!

If you plan to attend and are interested, let me know! I'll be happy to take some readings on your car and share some thoughts to improve setup.

Is this in lieu of the regurlarly scheduled Thursdays open track day?
I don't have my Alfa ready yet but tell me if this is a 1/2 day or all day event and I may show up depending on time.

Hi Stephan,

All day, from 8 - 5, with a 1-hour break from 12-1 for worker lunch.

SCCA cars (rollcage) only, and you must show an SCCA license!

This is considered the "practice" day for this weekend's Saturday/Sunday SCCA regional races. In reality, attendance is usually very light.

Last time, there were 2 run groups. 20 minute sessions each. Worked very well, as it gave plenty of track time (12 sessions per group!) and enough time to make adjustments between sessions.

Full day is $150. 1/2 day is $100.

SCCA had been offering a free 60 or 90 day (?) membership earlier this year. Sign up was done on the spot at the track. Why not just join if it's still on?

If you are looking for a driver I would consider driving a full prepared ITA Miata

I doubt that I can get away on Friday as it is a short week, but if I can I will let you know.

Hey Mark, you do not have to be an SCCA member to enter the track. Last time I went, I only signed the waiver at the entrance, and was not charged an entry fee. If an entry fee is charged, I'll be happy to pay it for anyone that would like to help with crew, lunch too!

Jim, I would also love an opportunity to drive a full-prepared ITA Miata! If you are around on Friday, great. Otherwise, I hope to catch up with you for a bit over the weekend. By the registration count, seems like there will be lots of COM drivers running this weekend. :thumbleft:

Will, i will be there and have 1/2 a garage for sale ($75 for all three days). i have PLENTY of gear, tools, etc. Come share my garage and you'll have easy access to PLENTY of gear and help.
