Was here (LRP) yesterday for the open track day and am camped out by the gas pumps. Stop by for a visit and maybe even a free burger lunch during the event! Am here right now tweaking/bolt checking the car hoping for a 'daemon setup' to secure 2nd place drivers championship for the region.

BTW: there is an empty concrete pad by me if you need a relatively level surface for your scaling your car PLUS we can share my electricity supply and over here you have free wireless Internet

Let me know ASAP if you want me to reserve the pad for you.

I'll be there +/- 8:30a, parking on the top of the hill at the end of the front straight. I know where Steven is parked; Jim, where do you usually try to set up?

OK, I'll dig it up and send it along. As Bill and I suggested, set an appointment soon, and get it done early! There is a good amount of work to be done when you get the car back. Prepsol, rustoleum, masking tape, and Advil will be your friends (and worst enemies).

Chris does quality work and is great to deal with.

FYI: thanks COM'ers for your help in packing me up. Was at LRP since Monday night so kinda settled in over the week (LOL). That snap oversteer using the new smaller rear R35a (compound 2500) really got me crazy in Q1, as the car was setup correctly and talked to my engineer this morning about it... Wanted a super setup and even debated going R25a (2500 compound) but was doomed to live with 10 heat cycle tires (R35 with 3000 compound) for the race so was easily 1.5 to 2.5 seconds off per lap as compared to same tires on Tuesday's practice session. Was hoping to at least keep up with Bruce, yet the choice of going back to old predictable tires threw that hope out of the window before the rubber hit the track for the race. So my race was kinda over before it even begun (how depressing).

Came in a SLOW ARSE second place in FC and behind a lot of other cars as the tires were way off, but the final result kept the car on the track and secured 2nd in drivers points for NARRC and NER 2007 season on my rookie year while only chewing through about $1k in broken parts (mainly front wings) during the season. If we take away tire costs, this was A LOT less $$$ than that Italian thing while also learning A LOT more and doing much faster laps of course. Still have LOTS of room to grow and already lookinjg forward to 2008 season.

Hopefully more COM'ers will take to open wheel cars, they are a BLAST to drive! i know of quite a few FC cars for sale from $20k on up... and Bruce's FEs start at around $37k or so.

Glad many of you had great results and look forward to seeing everyone at NHIS the 20/21.

I ran 45 compound Hoosier tires that had two National races at Pocono and the last COM event on them. I don't know why, but they are still great.

That's great news and that FE car you drive has more rubber under it than the FC here. One could debate rolling resistance, though would love to try what the newer FC Zetec rims 8 front and 10 rear does, as the pro guys say the more rubber really makes the car grip like a madman (versus my SCCA ruled 6 front and 8 rear).

What size width rims does that FE use?

8 inch and ten inch.
Note that the fastest FC (actually Club FC) was 5.5 seconds faster than you and 2.5 seconds faster than me!
