Heading to NHIS Thursday - Sept 20?
I plan on doing the PM Test Day at NHIS this week. Anyone else?

i might, motorcycles are the 8 to 12 session and cars are 1pm to 5pm so track temps should be fairly good. The reasons for might is that i want to save my rubber for SCCA NARRC finals at LRP the 28/29. Getting only 8 good heat cycles on the 35's, maybe next year i'll choose 45's like Bruce, as those can run longer (with less overall grip potential of course).chaos4NH wrote:I plan on doing the PM Test Day at NHIS this week. Hoosier 45 compound slicks are spec in Formula Enterprises (FE).enjoythemusic wrote:

Yup, so you have to run those per SCCA rules. It was a perfect afternoon for testing! Warm, not hot track, and 4 hours of open track (no run groups, just run run run, except for 20 minutes to clean up a little gravel thrown up at turn 1. Bill Washburn, Steve Pope, the Mcparlands, guy that drives the black MR2, the V8 Healey, and some highly modded rallye type STi A very fast GT3 all out race car seemed to be the class of the afternoon. I had hoped to have my rear bar, but the order was messed up. Hotchkis bars should arrive next week, so if the weather holds for the Oct 4 test day, I should be able to feel it out before the Oct time trials.
I saved my Hoosiers for Oct, but was damned impressed with the grip from the Kumho V700's. They felt about 5 seconds faster than the RA1's

I was in Mexico! Sorry I could be there but the cucaracha Alfa is still in need of repairs: exhaust, springs and motor mounts. I brought some burritos to fix it but it's the wrong model so now I drink a nice Tequila reposado to be happy hombre!
Still a mistery why there are selling new Alfas in Mexico but not here in the USA.
