3BallsRacing event at Calabogie (9/29) needs attendees!

Post by Scooter70 » Wed Sep 05, 2007 9:37 pm

3ballsRacing is a small club out of southeast Michigan that Ken Smith (blue Z06 in SSU) and I have been running with out here for a couple of years. This year they have secured a date at Calabogie but unless they get more people to sign up, the event will have to be canceled and they forfeit a hefty deposit.

For more info, go to www.3ballsracing.com. To register click here.

This is a non-competitive event, just a ton of track time. Please spread the word to other organizations or people who might want to make the trek up north of the border.

If you have any questions let me know and I'll get you in contact with one of the organizers.

For those who missed the COMSCC event, Calabogie is a great track with lots of grip and the place is VERY welcoming. i'd do it in a heartbeat if it was not for NARCC SCCA runoffsduring the same time.

So if you have not done calabogie, or even if you have, this is a fun track and am sure the weather will be awesome!
Enjoy the Track,

I agree. As a matter of fact all Canadian tracks booked by COM this year (incl Mosport and Mont Tremblant) where outstanding.
Most unofrtuantely I will heading to Tyrol-land (Austria) that week-end otherwise it would be a great "mid-term" while we await our next COM evetn at the end of October (which - by the way - registration is now opened too!).

Best of luck with the event!

I agree that Calabogie is worth the trip. Great track, top-notch people and workers. :thumbleft:

I just got this message from Ken, the head of 3Balls Racing:
As many of you know, our last event of the year is scheduled for Saturday, September 29 at Calabogie in Canada. As of right now, we do not have enough people to support the event. Daniele and I have spoken with the track about cancelling, and Calabogie would rather we did not cancel the event. This is what they have offered: They will let us participate in their already scheduled lapping session on Saturday and Sunday. (We had half of the track on Sat, so they would turn the lapping session into the full track for Sat.) Anyone who comes with 3 Balls will be put into the same run group. There will be 6 sessions per day. The catch is that they want a minimum of 15 people for each day, at a cost of $175/day. If we can't do this, it will be back to the negotiating table, or more likely, we will cancel the event all together. Anyone that has paid will be refunded in full.

If you are interested, please contact us within the next day or so. We need to get this resolved as quickly as possible with the track.

Thanks
Ken
Now it's two days of the full track for $175/day. If you're at all interested, go to www.3BallsRacing.com and sign up.
