I knew very early in the year that I was going to Tremblant. Knowing this, and not knowing for certain I was going to be able to cross with my expired passport, and/or birth cert or license...I decided to renew with what I thought was plenty of time to spare. I sent in my old passport, the pics, and the forms back in late April....right around when Com was at WGI. I just got my new passport yesterday in the mail.
Around 19 weeks..
Finally got my passport..

Congrats! Book a trip to Europe, as September is a great time to tour Tuscany or perhaps France and other points of interest. Europeans are now fresh off their August holiday, the major tourists are gone, and now being harvest time, you can enjoy warm days and pleasantly cool nights. The grapes are near ready too!
Of course Germany in Oktober aint to shabby either

I am heading for business to Kitzbuehl, Austria with a connection in Munich with about 1 day to spare... :salute:enjoythemusic wrote:

Question is: should I sample some beers and fly to Salzburg or skip the beer and take the Autobahn driving something "European"? :dontknow:

Been to Salzburg with my wife last year or so. It is a nice place and kinda a toss up between that and just driving the 'bahn. As you know The Sound Of Music was shot at/around Salzburg and it is very scenic and you could easily enjoy a day (or two) there. It is easily a full day to see it all/most.StephanAlfa wrote:Question is: should I sample some beers and fly to Salzburg or skip the beer and take the Autobahn driving something "European"? :dontknow:
Never driven from Kitzbuehl, to there so color me clueless.
My fave places/drives was the ?A4? from Milan to Santa Margarita Ligure (a few KM north of Portofino). There is a section that is VERY twisty and you go through MANY small tunnels.
Stephen, if you plan to drive in Italy be careful as the police have been cracking down... but driving an Italian car and your US/Canadaian passport you'd probably be ok. Show them your COMSCC license
Anywho, am sure you will have a great time. September is an awesome time for Europe! Make sure you have/get an Intl Driver's License (about $30 from your local AAA).
