Is anyone else having problems getting google video to work today and yesterday? Im trying to find some good videos and the best Ive seen is only on google.

Any other video suggestions out there?

After watching the video I realized I was consistently early for T4. You should try and make it a little later to open up T5.

...and don't cross the blend line on pit-out ;)

Mick, your video is kind of overwhelming my dumpster computer (I found it next to a dumpster 5 years ago) but i can see your line. The video i cant get to work is the seb rochon video on google. Mostly I wanted to see his line through 4 and 5 again. You do something similar to his line where your a little early in 4, but it looks smooth if you jump the curbs. The line in every other video is really late in 4 like in the video raj posted. It looks like their loosing a lot of momentum in 5 but its tough to tell in a video.

What's 4 and 5, that stupid little right/left after the hill? If so, Bruce tells me the trick is to enter 2/3 out because you lose camber if you try to use all all the road. As always, the first half of this complex is a throwaway, and the only important thing is to maximize speed coming out of 5. In my mind, the far more interesting question is how to keep things straight and under control for braking after blowing by the turn 3 apex flat out.

T3 is not a turn, its more of a kink in the straight from the top of 2 to the entry into T4. If you force the apex in 3 and can't get your car all the way to the left and dead straight into the brake zone of T4, you're better off staying wide of the apex in 3 as long as you can still go thru T3 ~ wot.

There is a blem in the pavement at T4 that can be used as a reference mark for turn-in, about 1/3 in from the left at entry to the corner. I try to pivot/rotate my car at the blem and aim for the curbing. crashing the curbing at T4 is fast, just don't over-rotate the car so that your nose is pointing away from the T5 apex. You do need to compromise T4 to max out T5 but a classic late apex at T4 scrubs too much speed IMO. crash the curbing at 5 as needed to maintain speed and not run out of road at exit.

Ditto for T10/T11 (fast right/left at end of back straight) - you can crash the curbing in both - holding 4th until after T10 may be faster - it helps keep the car balanced thru T10 and into T11. Try going into T10 hot and early until you run out of road, then back it up a bit ;-)

I believe the correct numbers for the right/left are 10 and 11. 9 is actually the itsy bitsy left kink at the top of the rise on the long run out of turn 8. 12 would be the blind left under the bridge, 13 the little right kink on the run up to 14 (slowest on the course).

Fred - nice write-up!

I think you mean T10 & T11 (not 9&10). Turn 9 is the slight left-hand kind 1/2 way down the back straight, before the hard right/left at T10/T11.

Is the blem at T4 two small round asphalt patches? That is what I've used in the past.

Wow! Great video! My heart was pounding just riding along with you! I will watch it a dozen more times between now and Sunday. Talk about getting a guy revved up, especially when my new car is easily 15 seconds faster than the one I ran there last year. Oh joy!!

By the way, nice video Mick, but I felt extremely frustrated watching Michael Schumacher in the white M3 hold you up for ... what... 5 or 6 laps before giving a terrible point-by.

I hope the traffic on track this year is not like the vid :shock:

Shawn, Gregg and any others interested. I will be at Shaws, exit 11 in time to leave there at 1130. Looks like Gregg is hooking up with us in Hooksett shortly before noon. We should then gas up in VT at exit 18, arriving there about 230-300. We should make Tremblant around 500-530.
