Worry not, you have time to build your cabinet now ..

I remember once going to the UK and I paid a business visit to BAR (now Honda) at the Reynard Aviation compound. Jacques Villeneuve and Jenson Button were the drivers. Beautiful facilities, saw the cars, the carbon fibre furnace, held Jacques steering wheel in my hands, witnessed a suspension test. In the hall was a huge (and quite empty) throphy cabinet. Had one tiny cup there from a 3rd place earned by Jacques...

Think of it as volunteer work, you'll get it eventually and by mail (i.e.: I do not believe they will bring it to NHIS in July for re-distribution).

Heck, the cabinet is built, look really barren with just the dash plaque in there!
Would be nice to show it when I am interviewed on Wind Tunnel (maybe that should be Wind Bag). :D

I sent the Trophy Chairman an email about it this morning.

When I get a response from him I will post it here.

I just received a response from the Trophy Chairman relative to the Mosport trophies.

His plan is " . . .I will hand out most of the Mosport trophys at NHIS 3 to cut shipping costs down for the club. i will mail out the rest after. . ."

Dang. My very first COM trophy and I won't be there to pick it up. :P

If you want to save shipping costs you could bring mine to Tremblant.

According to the Trophy Chair he is going to bring the Mosport trophies to NHIS-3. The Mosport trophy winners that are not attending the August NHIS will get their trophies mailed to them.

As soon as the registration period for NHIS-3 closes I will send the Trophy Chair a list of attendees so he can match up the Mosport winners that will be attending and put the rest in the mail.

And, if I heard correctly, Tremblant trophies will also be handed out at NHIS3, not at the event. Yes?

BUMP

Ok, Tremblant trophies passed out, still waiting for Mosport. Can we get the real story on these? Were they sent by the trophy company to the wrong person?

Tremblant trophies were not at Tremblant due to a problem caused by the trophy shop, so the trophy shop took care of shipping them out direct to the winners.

Mosport trophies were not at Mosport due to a miscommunication between the club member(s) responsible for trophies and the trophy shop. They are also very nice (and fragile!) glass pieces. Boe now has this all under control. Any Mosport trophy winners who attended Wednesday's meeting received their trophy at the meeting. Other Mosport trophy winners will get their trophies on Tuesday afternoon at NHIS. Any Mosport trophy winners not at NHIS, will receive the trophies in the mail (or UPS, etc).

Sorry for the confusion. Boe has done a great job with the trophies and dash plaques, and has come up with some neat ideas. I'm sure this is just as frustrating to him as it is to the winners, and I'm also certain he's looking forward to getting this resolved for everyone.

Thanks Will, sounds like the effort to balance the national debt! Glad Bo has it under control.
