* Mont-Tremblant, Quebec J8E 1C9 Canada
* Phone: 1 819 681 4000
* Fax: 1 819 681 4099
* Toll-free: 1 888 272 4000
* Sales: 1 819 681 4032

It is not one of the "in the Village" type hotels. It is in the resort part of town- lots of restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

I will be hanging my hat here:
L'Auberge du coq de la Montagne
Any chance they will throw us a nice din-din as last year? It was worth the price!

So how far is the Chicken of the Mountain place to the track? Is there a pool? Do they have a website? I can't seem to locate one, and my wife is wondering what it is like and where it is located? Is there anything within walking distance from it?

Thanks,

Yes rooms at the coq of the mountain are all booked. Condos are also all booked up, but you can put your names on a waiting list.

I got the last room at the Rooster. I cancelled my room at the Comfort Inn
860 Rue LaLonde, Mont Tremblant 819-429-6000.
A bit pricey at $152.99/night.

I just booked a room at Comfort Inn, Mont Tremblant for $99.00/night. You have to print out a coupon that can be found at the top of their web page http://www.comforttremblant.com/ to get the $99 rate. 888-425-8781

The proper translation is "Rooster" as in rooster tails when it rains on the track.
Sharpen your Français les boys, we are going to La Province where the official language is only French (unlike bilingual for the rest of Canada).

Here are some words to ponder;

Dérapage contrôlé = controlled slide, drift
Courbe = turn, curve
Piste = track
Tangence = Apex
Acceleracion = step on i!
Freine = Brake!
Vitesse = Speed
Pluie = Rain (For Subies and Alfisti :P )
Piste mouille = Wet Track (for Subies and Alfisti :P )
Miata sur la piste = Fake Alfa Romeo on the track
Pilotes = Drivers
Ligne de conduite = Driving line
La ligne = The line

Merde = kaka! or s_ _ t
Bière = Beer (I meam REAL Canadian beer ...)
Vin Blanc = White Wine
Vin Rouge = Red Wine
Champagne = Victory!
Vin blanc pétillant = Sparkling wine (Champagne method, meaning it does not come from the Champagne region. Ah! learned a new one eh? You thought Champagne is meant for all bubblies? wrong!)

Viande = meat
Poulet = chicken (not rooster Bruce!)
Légumes = vegetables

Voulez vous coucher avec moi c’est soir = Lady Marmelade!

Salut! = Cheers!

yes, Frenchie, and I have noted
"Bière = Beer (I meam REAL Canadian beer ...) "
means buying Molson in Canada for twice what we pay for Molson here.
Cest le taxes!
