CALABOGIE - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Post by StephanAlfa » Wed May 30, 2007 4:39 pm

Track organizers, COM Staff, Marshalls, everyone: GREAT event, PHENOMENAL track, getting busy from the get-go.
I heard expressions like "a giant high-speed auto cross", "so much to learn, so little time", "I know there is a place there I can go faster, but there are so many turns I can't remember which one now"... all reasons to return, no doubt.

Kudos for the COM organizers, many new in their assignments as interim Chief Instructor (Bruce), Timing (Will and Bill), Track "announcer" (Alex).

This is surely a great track and we should be there for many years to come.

Amen!

And then some! The staff at the track went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience, COMSCC did the usual excellent job... (humor) and Bruce did an ok job driving i guess provided he had some proper race petrol ;)

The track and even the pit area was clean and tidy, unlike certain other tracks where just getting to your pit means LOTS of crap on your tires. Certain other tracks can learn a lot from Calabogie.

Am so much looking forward to next year and already getting e-mail from other track guys asking about the track and setup tips/gearing/etc. Any way we can reserve another two days for 2007???

Given the challenges of running an event, especially at a totally new venue, everyone involved certainly deserves out thanks. :!:

I loved the low key approach of everyone at the track, and the digital photography setup was great.

Thanks again to everyone involved,
Dennis
Sad to see my SSB 2001 Miata go.
