Dave and Sam,
MANY thanks!!! Was just trying to see what Mapquest said and not sure what route the Magel GPS was going to tell me. Will be very happy to meet you guys in Burlington, just name time/place (exact address, exact time) for Sunday meet and i'll program Mr. GPS for it. Again, many thanks!!!
Sam, agreed the haul over VT9 (the "hump") is upward forever and over-trucked the new setup in case of tintop hauling and then some if in the future decide to get larger enclosed trailer. Was kinda peeved that the Ranger was a no go with new trailer as she was virtually brand new when trading her in. Good news is, paid invoice for the F-250SD and they gave me same $ originally for the Ranger (so Ranger was 'free' for two years). Sold cars many years agao and am a BEAR when it comes to making deals on cars. You want a Ferrari for $25k, we can make that happen

I think I will join ranks with the meet in Burlington (or Winooski or?)
Like Steve, let me know when and where, I'll let Tom Tom get me there. I will leave 4 hours before meet time to be sure!
Subw00er - Glad you are making the trip. Where are you staying?

Hey, we got us a convoy...
The plans are still being formed, but the likely meeting spot will be the Maplefields at the Georgia exit (Exit 18 ) off I-89. (Turn right at the end of the exit ramp, and it's the gas station on the right.) I'm thinking around 1:00-1:30. Some of us will be camping at the track, and if we leave around 1:30, that should get us there around 6:00 when the track is open, and still give us time to set up in daylight.
I got the car aligned this morning, doing the brakes Saturday, and I'll be set to go! I can't wait!

Shawn: If we want to hit that convoy, we should leave at 800AM sharp. That should give us time to be there before 100. Sound good to you? Stephan, how about you? Shawn and I can meet at the Shaws off exit 11, Everette Turnpike a little before 800AM, anyone else?

"Hey Dennis: In the old days if they did not have enough cars in SSB-C class they used to merge it all together ... In case you are interested I DO know the road to Labrador ... can you Mini float??? "
Stephan,
I don't know about a Mini floating, but it's damn hard to make the convertible top on my Miata watert tight
See you at Calabogie, assuming I get the directions right,
Dennis

Sad to see my SSB 2001 Miata go.

Sounds good to me but I'll be coming from up from Everett Tkpe so I prefer not to get off. How about we hook up by the Bedford toll plaza or even by the rest area (the one with the Liquor store) after the Hookset plaza (better). Call me on the cell 264-9688.chaos4NH wrote:Shawn: If we want to hit that convoy, we should leave at 800AM sharp. That should give us time to be there before 100. Sound good to you? On another note: I called Calabogie and here are some CAMPING info:
NO SHOWERS, NO WATER, they barely have washrooms in operation (they said it will be ready by the end of this year). There are camping areas nearby ...
Dennis suggestion on hotels in Arnprior is not a bad one given the track said "it's a nice 20 minute ride".

Race NER SCCA and then Calabogie COM
Steve,
I see you took the plunge and registered for your first SCCA race Saturday (but not Sunday). Expect Laverty to totally toast your a**. You know you can run the race Sunday Morning too (we are group 2) and still get to Calabogie easily. We could have our own caravan.
Looks like no one in my class is showing up. We had 6 FE on May 5.

Easily believe he'll toast me, though as my first SCCA event i'd be happy with not being a rolling road block to the remainder of the field.brucesallen wrote:Steve, I see you took the plunge and registered for your first SCCA race Saturday (but not Sunday). Expect Laverty to totally toast your a**.
Thanks, though many factors have caused me to miss Sunday's SCCA. If the COMSCC event was Tue/Wed then SCCA Sunday would be more do-able.You know you can run the race Sunday Morning too (we are group 2) and still get to Calabogie easily. Frankly, have been second guessing if i really should have signed up for Canada as it is end of month and have magazines to publish. Don't be surprised if during the Canada event i run to some Internet hotspot at night and/or have my laptop glued to my fingers

8:20 AM or thereabouts. I'll double-confirm when I have Alfa and trailer on hand and all in good working order.Shawn624 wrote:The Liquor store rest area after the Hooksett toll plaza actually works better for me since I can take the 101 to Manchester. How about 8:20 at the Liquor store rest area?
Mark (Swinehart): what are your plans?
