What is he playing with on the steering column before he spins?

Excellent reminder! Hopefully everyone has changed over to Goodridge (or the like) steel braided lines. There is ALWAYS time for safety checks and to bleed brake lines before an event!!! (and pertaining to my first outing in new car, bleed clutch lines too... DOH!)

Pretty obvious: He is driving a stolen car with a punched out ignition switch. The switch has slipped into the steering wheel lock mod...........straight into the wall. :D No?

Brake bleeding

Post by grovefromnh » Thu May 17, 2007 6:56 am

Brake bleeding is MUCH easier if you replace the bleeder screws with Russell Speed Bleeders. They have a check valve so it only takes one person to bleed the brakes. Open bleeder 1/2 turn, put on hose, remove master cylinder cap and pump brake pedal a few times. Add brake fluid as needed. Close bleeder screw and go to next caliper.

Thats a 350z, I used to own one!

I believe he is hitting the button that starts the lap timer. The 350z has a simple on board timer. Its weird he is doing this since I see he has a xt racing timer (which is awesome)!

I have to agree on using the speed bleeders, I just installed a set about two weeks ago and now I can bleed the brakes in about 10 minutes total. Easy as pie!

Ditto what ^ said. Both track cars have Speed Bleeders.

NOTE: for some cars i believe they have a normal version and stainless steel version for a few sheckles more. Call them directly and get the better version.

The poster was the driver. Brakelines usually don't fail unless they are installed improperly.

Latest fad, JDM cross drilled brake lines, much better than the slotted type. Works well on high HP all wheel drive cars. :tweety:
