Looks to me as if the first collision left plenty of fluid on the track and both cars lost traction as they drove over it.

This is an excellent example of why we should run with our windows 100% down. Can you imagine being in that situation and having a zillion pieces of glass explode right next to your face/helmet?

I guess driver's window down isn't a requirement in the UK, or at least at this particular venue, with this particular racing organization.
