lime rock weather

Thinking about going to Lime Rock but I'm wondering what the weather is normally like? 30/sunny ... snowing? ... 50/sunny? I would like to go but if the weather is cold and crappy ... I'll go skiing.

Throw the skis on the roof rack and come out and play. If it snows there are some nice hills in the infield.

I have an open wheeled car, ski racks get in the way.

How busy is COM LRP? Any chance it'll be just hours of open track? It may be worth it to freeze my butt off in the vee for the track time.

They announced just 19 spots open for LRP...No we will not get hours of open track- but still worth going...great SPA championship battle brewing !

Lime Rock weather is a complete crap shoot.

In 2002 it was mid-50s and clear, an absolutely perfect track day.
In 2003 there was an ice storm the night before our event, but
it was 30 degrees the day of, and otherwise clear. Last year - it
snowed on and off during the day, but never accumulated.

Just be prepared for the fact that you are outside virtually all day - no garages; no indoor restaurant. I find that when you're not driving, a one-piece carpenter's suit or snowmobile suit over your driving clothes is great for keeping the blood fluid.
And, Herb, you are an excellant moderator - thanks for doing it!

I just did the NARRC Runoffs at LRP last weekend. 30s, driving rain, mud, and 35 minutes of on-track fun. For the first time ever, I was actually cold in the driving suit and nomex underwear.
