I'll be at Lime Rock in November. I can't wait - it'll be my first time out with COM
not at NHIS.

I see that there are more than a few motels/hotels nearby. I just wanted to know if there's one that COMers reccommend. It doesn't have to be fancy; just clean and comfortable.
Thanks in advance for all input!
While we're (sort of) on the subject, is it advisable to bring snow tires to a November event?

			Bane of Tires,
Enjoy Lime Rock Park (LRP)... As for hotels:
Torrington CT is maybe 20 minutes W & has a comfort Inn or Econo Lodge etc
There is Interlaken Inn near LRP at about $130 a night. You could try the Inn At Iron Masters (860) 435-9844 or the Sharon Motor Lodge (860) 364-0036 RR 41 (don't know their current rates)
Comfort Inn & Suites
249 Stockbridge Road (Rt 7) Bldg 1 , Great Barrington, MA, US, 01230
Phone: (413) 644-3200 Fax: (413) 644-3212
Hope this helps.

$130 a night? Yikes...I think I'll shop around. The Loudon Red Roof is only $70 a night. I was jsut hoping someone had some personal feedback.

			Bane of Tires,
<whispered> Interlaken Inn is a rip off IMHO. Stayed there for a week as they were recommended by FCA (F-in'arri Club Of America) and almost passed out when i saw the bill.</whispered>

Check out the Inn at White Hollow Farm. It's $125/night for a double...not cheap, but it's a really nice place and just off the infield entrance to the track.

I stayed at a Best Western in Great Barrington last time I went (2004)
I think it was about $ 70 then. Nothing fancy, clean and quiet. Wlaking distance to a good italian take-out too

Ok, I just booked 2 nights at that place...
http://www.berkshirescomfortinn.com/rooms.html
Here's the deal, call 1-877-424-6423 to book it, and give them the SCCA member discount number (good for 20% off), 00802155.
Rates are $87.99 for Thursday night and $103.99 for Friday night, for a single room with 2 Queen beds.
See you all there!
Jay
