SCCA - COM drivers make the club look good, again!

Post by WillM » Thu Apr 26, 2007 5:11 pm

It was a pleasure to be at NHIS during this past weekend's SCCA "Spring Training". For those of you who are not familiar with the program, this is a two-day school (Friday/Saturday) and SCCA road-race licensing program.

The school offers constant rotating sessions of 20-minute track sessions, 20-minute class room time/debriefing, and 20-minute water & pee break.

COM members Les Seal and Alex Teng totally kicked butt and were lots of fun to watch! Congratulations for putting on a great show and earning your licenses. At one point, one of the instructors commented that try as he might, he couldn't catch Les. Ha!!!! Though I didn't watch his group much, and I'm not sure how he did, I know Charles Keene was there in his Evo. On the 2nd day I saw John Mason, and noticed that he was doing quite well too.

Congratulations guys!

Also, congratulations to Bruce Allen, for racing his formula car on Sunday at NHIS, and not only making it to the Glen on Monday/Tuesday, but winning FP and FTD.

It was an awesome weekend, great to have other COM guys out there!

SCCA is a total blast, I can't wait for the next race.

I know Alex and I had a great time.
I want to thank Bill Hosselbarth, Will Martins and Gordon Andrade for coming up and taking care of our cars while we were in class.
Having the COM experience really showed. On the track with 18 other Miatas, we pretty much kicked butt!
