"Leagues are 5 weeks in length and alternate every other week."

does this mean it is $300 + 25 for three nights of racing?

What does "Your league will run for 5 consecutive weeks towards the championship, complete with trophies!" mean then?

Nope, I've never actually been. I never got a chance to head up there last year, but I'm definitely going to check it out this summer. If a few people are potentially interested, I'll give them a call and try to get some details.

It looks like they also have endurance events you can register a team for.

At the least I'd love to meet some people up there for a few arrive & drive days. They recently ran an ad in Sports Car, the SCCA magazine. They're doing $10 arrive & drive races for SCCA members.

I have ... long story .. in any case, I'd be interested if someone does the legwork, prices, when, what, where, etc.

I did a league there with a few people from work last summer. It is a lot of fun. Its great practice for driving. The carts are decently quick 13hp karts, but weigh about 265lb, so they could be a lot faster.

It was frusterating toward the end though, we got rained out 5 weeks in a row.

Good times though.

Let me know if I can answer any questions for you regarding Hot Laps Karting Center.

We do have leagues forming now. One is actually starting tonight, Wednesday, May 2nd. We have another starting next Thursday evening, the 10th of May.

Our Saturday Endurance Racing Series starts this Saturday. More info on that series can be found on our website: www.hot-laps.com

I will try to check in regularly to answer questions on this forum, but feel free to give us a call also: 603-529-2929

We are updating the league form at this time and I think this is where the conflict in information may be. Here is how the league works.

It is a 5-week league with the following format.

(1) 10-lap practice session
(3) 15-lap races

That is the format per week.

Under the perfect scenario, we can run leagues for 5 consecutive weeks. We run the leagues typically on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If we have an outing or other function scheduled on a Wednesday or Thursday at the time you schedule your league, we might need to skip a week in your league to the next week. We can firm up all league dates at the time a league is booked.

If it rains, we extend the league a week on the other end of the schedule.

Points are awarded for each race, each week. The person with the most points at the end of the league is awarded a trophy and crowned champion. We also award the person with the fastest lap during the league.

The cost of a league is $300 (plus a $25 fee for a 12-month membership). Just over a dollar a lap.

The White Mountain BMWCCA chapter is putting on a race day at Hot-Laps. Saturday, July 21st. It's $75 for the day. They're limiting the entries to 60 people, registration just opened today. I've already registered, anybody else want in on this action?
