I have heard other people say that. I always felt turn 6 is very tame commpared to 10-11 combo.lou m wrote:Addtional Note for Turn 6 - Bring Balls

Unfortunately coolant was dumped in 6 that put me off track a few years ago. Luckily I didn't do much damage. ](*,)
IMHO 6 really can't be called "tame" if you track out using the very edge of the track.
I look forward to going back this year. I hope we get good weather. Everyone should be alot faster with April temps rather than 90+ degree summer temps.

I have never had so much as a clenching moment in 6, so I never felt it required any balls at all. The entry is so wide and the apex late, I never had an issue there (with my 2400 lb car).
10-11 is still the the hoot for me.
I have heard of people going off there with damage so I can see that.
Of course some depends on what car we are talking about. I'm not driving a 600 HP anything

10-11 is fun but I think that 2-3-4-bus stop is the best track sequence I've ever driven. There's just something about tracking out of 1, putting the pedal to the floor, hauling a$$ up the hill and down the back straight before getting hard on the brakes and turning into the bus stop at ~80.

6 is easy if you slow down and take a late apex. But that wastes a lot of time. FIRST, excellent write up Bruce!!! Many thanks for posting it!
Long story short, the BMW club left a nice trail of oil from entry into the boot all the way down to the left turn the day before an FCA event. Caught out two drivers and myself, fortunately came out the least affected and ALMOST saved it but the grass was wet and just slid sideways a tiny bit, enough to very lightly tap the rubber-fronted tire wall
Amen, and yes a VERY small bit of grass and if it is wet you basically just, well...
