How does COM handle garages, I forget.. Is this a first-come thing?

Yes, sign up and pay for your garage space at registration.
First come, first served.

Is there any way we can secure a space in advance as I have attended events, arrived the night before, registered,requested a garage space and been informed there were none available or had to move the next morning because I was in someone else's space. Luckily the club members are very gracious and allowed me to share one of theirs. I couldn't understand why upon arrival to the garages there were only 3 or 4 cars in the garage. I realize that the club has been stiffed by renters who never showed up,but can we not determine a way to pay for the spaces when we register and pay?
