FireStormGraphix?

Post by Scooter70 » Thu Mar 15, 2007 9:16 am

Has anybody used FirestormGraphix for their COM or SCCA car numbers? Their SCCA 1-color Number Kit includes two 13" (2 digit) numbers, two 5.5" numbers, four 4" class designations, and two 2" tall driver's name stickers, all for $25. I asked whether they could change the 13" numbers to 8" (the minimum size according to the COM rule book) and they said to just note it in the Additional Comments field on the order form.

If anybody has used them, I'd be interested to hear feedback.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks for the link George. How well do the magnetic numbers stick? Will they hold on at 140mph at The Glen?

Mike G added insult to injury on his Nissan. Magnetic number fell off and next lap he ran over it

I use vynil numbers but these are permanent in a couple fo lexam pieces that I attach in the rear side windows.
I get my vynil from Sign Design in Nashua. Name is George:

I always love www.squierdesign.com. They have packages, and are the cheapest and now they also can do full photographic decals. See the Greased Shadow on their home page. Michael's wife also is an artist and came up with the artwork for my car.

North Shore business plug: I've used ADPRO in Peabody for several years. Very talented group of guys. They also did our 30' sign for our shop, so if you need your 18 wheeler vinyled up- it's no problem.

I have my own vinyl cutting machine and can cut the graphics you need for COM. Just let me know what you need and I'll bring it with me to WGI (assuming you'll be there) or if you're going to an event I wont be at I can mail them.

I typically dont bother with magnetic (tend to come off) but use a special vinyl that is removable and leaves no residue and is very easy to peel off when you're done. Its worked really well for me in the past. Enjoythemusic has used my decals, as mentioned, so ask him if you'd like a reference! Some pics here

I guess I could match the $25 that other guy was charging for a single layer vinyl set to meet COM guidelines, although its less than I'd charge normally. COM special! \:D/

ps - I can also cut almost any graphic from this site - use search field at the bottom: http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/
