where does everybody buy their tires from. Looking for a local shop that will not rob me. located outside the cape, south shore and rather do business witha local vendor then mail order. I went to town fair tire and the price of some competition tires were almost twice the price of tire rack.

In other words, Most good deals are on line UNLESS you find a friendly garage to give you a big discount
Just my opinion

Dartmouth Tire in New Bedford was able to give me a price similar to Tire Rack for a ContiExtremeContact for my wife's Mazda3. I've used them for years to mount tires I've bought from Tire Rack, next time I'll check with them on tire prices first!
Never had any probs and they are usually very quick.

I normally get price info from tire rack then go to the local stores who supplly the same type tires. Last time I did that the local NTW matched the price from tire rack and I saved the shipping charges!
Hope this helps.
I also posted info that Lee has a number in the mid-west on a compoany that buys used tires. The definition of "used" is racing teams go thru a set during practice and discard the tires. They in turn pick it up and sell it topyou for a good price.
I misplaced that number so you best contact Lee for that info.
