roll bar for S2000, diagonal required?

I'll probably be getting the optional diagonal (and harness bar) anyway, but I just wanted to know beforehand if it is strictly required, or optional on a roll bar for an S2000 to run in COM.

A diagonal is not required.

Thanks! I think I'm just gonna get the basic four-point roll bar, no diagonal or harness bar.
