Kart Racing "Cabin Fever" at F-1 Boston and Maine

Post by StephanAlfa » Sat Jan 20, 2007 11:19 am

Basisc info collected:

F1 Racing

There are 2 ways the club can race:

1) We can rent the entire track for an hour $1500.00 - $1700.00. This expense will be shared by all who race. So the more people the less expensive it will be. This pricing includes the license.

2) We can just show up and pay per person and race with other people. All drivers take part in both practice and race laps. The number of laps on either track varies. Prices are as follows:

Track One $25.00
Track Two $25.00
You must have a F1 license as well:

Day License $10.00
Annual License $25.00
Competition License $40.00
Annual to Competition Upgrade $15.00
Same-day Day to Annual License Upgrade $15.00
Day to Annual License Upgrade with 30 days $20.00
Participants must be 18 or older and hold a valid drivers license.

MAINE:
The Package is a lot less expensive, but travel distance for some could be a factor. I collected info but it's in my work PC. I'll put this together later this week.

In Foxboro we have http://racingamerica.com/home/. The karts and tracks are roughly equivalent to F1 Braintree, but without the so-trendy bar and related amenities - just the basics. They are open m-f 3-11, sat 9-11, sun 12-11.

Monthly membership ("license") is $10, annual $20. You first 2 sessions in a day are is $20 each (I think this is 15 laps) , and then $10/session thereafter.

Same fun at F1 but less glitz for less $. Much more COM-like.

As far as I know, Racing America closed several months back. Are they open agian? That place was sweet, much better than F1 Boston. I'd be up for a trip to F1 or Maine Indoor.

OO! OO! Me too! I live right on top of F1 (figuratively speaking) and haven't driven like a hooligan in a while.
