Great time had at LRP

Post by jeffreystrong » Mon Nov 20, 2006 12:02 pm

Just wanted to say thanks to those responsible for making the event possible. I had a great time, made some improvement on my personal best, and apologize to the 5th run group for the mud on the lefthander. After spinning I tried to put the car in a place that wouldn't draw a waving yellow. I succeeded but unfortunately I stuck myself in the mud and required a tow out.

Add to my list of things do to the car before next season... tow hooks...

Next year, I hope to make more events.

Till then have a great winter.

Jeffrey

Jeff -

It was nice to see you again. Hope you can make more events next year.

Seeing that I was the first car in Run Group 5 the mud is my "excuse" for not being fast as I needed to be.

In reality there is no way I could catch Gordon (probably Carl Fossum or Nate Hine could have driving my car). Your mud is my excuse.

See you next season.

As long as we're apologizing, sorry for the lost track time after I went into the swamp all the way out on the left side of Big Bend. The workers seemed a tad perplexed on how to get me out of there.

Next time I'll just swing right and hit the tirewall - that would be a quicker tow back

I was watching and expected you to put that thing in 4 wheel drive and just drive it out. Thats what subies are for eh? Maybe that's what the workers were thinking too.

Raj -- you should have put your mud and snow tires for the event :) Than you could have just driven out and save all the towing time :-({|=

To all the Com members , Thanks for the great time, I really appreciate the efford that was made after I had the catch in group 7. It was so nice of them to fit me in to a canceled spot in group 11 instead of having to wait until the end :salute:

I would also like to thank all the organizers who put on a great year. I can't begin to imagine how much work goes into the logistical details of running the show.

Ann and I had a great time on Saturday, as we always do at COM events

From another newbie doing my first full year with COM: Thanks for putting on great "shows". I met a lot of great people and formed some wonderful friendships. I can't begin to name everyone, but these guys/ladies stood out in my opinion: Will, Mark, Dan, Carl, Allison, Bruce, Rod, Jack, Andrew, etc. etc.
Thanks, from one of the old guys (Damned if it doesn't make me feel 55 again  ).
I am looking forward to next year and the trip to Watkins Glen!

Warm holiday wishes to everyone!

I have to admit I was quite jealous when I went outside on friday morning. I spent at least the cost of the track fees at the swap meets for my winter upgrades. I saw several commers at thompson including too.

See you guys in the spring
