Bad Luck Continues.....
Bad Luck Continues.....
Luckily this has nothing to do with my track car, but figured I would share my latest back luck story (I seem to have many of them). On Saturday, I was heading to the parts store to drop off a whallpoing 10 gallons of engine drain oil. Most of which came out of both of my engine failures from this season. So the oil was especially nasty! I had them stored in five gallon buckets for convenience of storing in my garage. It turns out that this is not the best way to transport it in your car though! On the way to the store, I got cut off by a woman, and was forced to slam on the brakes. Long story short, the ten gallons of nasty oil dumped inside my Expedition. Let me tell you, 10 gallons goes a LOOOONG way!!! It went from the rear cargo area, all the way up to the front seating area. So the moral of the story, is dont transport drain oil in 5 gallon buckets.

So far the tools of choice have been: boxcutter, and Speedy-dry. The boxcutter is used to hack out sections of the carpet down to the floorboard, and the speedy dry was used to soak up the oil. Then I shop vac'd the speedi dry out. It is a real mess. Besides that I do not really have a great plan going forward.
