Limerock; Snow or not to Snow..

Post by Subw00er » Wed Oct 18, 2006 7:21 am

This is the question!

I'd like to go to Limerock but the prospect of freezing my noggin off the whole time doesnt seem fun. What do you all do to keep warm, hang out in the shop?

The weather last year was actually pleasant, and the group I travelled down with had a great time. We dressed for fall and stayed comfortable. Didn't even freeze anything off when I changed in and out of my driver's suit. ;)

Oh, and long-johns under the race suit helped a bit too. :D

Get a friend who owns an RV to tow and crew for you at the track. Oh, and who doesn't drink so you can't even repay them with beer.

That's what I do.

Mark G,
If your reading this, THANKS!

I've gone enough times that I always do the same thing. Up to the classroom, last row on the left. Put my gloves on the heater and sit in front of it. Sometimes that room gets above 40 degrees!

Us IDP guys will be setting some cars on fire to stay warm. We use Miatas to initially light the fire, then feed it with some Porsches, BMW's, or even an RV or two.

No, we don't. If we did, there wouldn't be anyone to block us in the corners and hammer away down the straights

My new best friend! I'll hang out with you instead of with those Subaru guys - they are too fickle in their friendship.

Dan, just don't ask Raj about the meaning of IDP. And if you do, don't say you weren't warned!

By the way Raj , great job on getting the NHIS3 results posted so quick :o
I've only been a Com member for 3 years but 3 years ago it took 1 to 2 months to get results posted . Keep up the great work, and work on your driving :?

Haha :) Thanks. Took only 2 days to get the NHIS results up, which might be a new record. Hopefully we can keep this up the next season as well, although the away events usually need a couple more days for everyone involved to get back.

I gave up on my driving a long time ago. I'm only 2-3 seconds slower than the other STi-nkers.
