Anyone have experience crossing the Canadian border recently with a track car that has no title or registration?
Seems like my best bet is to bring the bill of sale.

We came into Canada today with little trouble, they didn’t ask to see the titles we brought
You’ll likely have more trouble on the way back into the US. Bring the bill of sale, any old registrations you may have. And for gods sake, don’t come back using the “Trucks” lane- those are for big trucks not our trucks. I did that once, and spent an extra hour there while my wife faxed the title to my race car. I had a fax machine at the house at that time....

Ok - good advice - I will avoid the truck lanes. That sounds like it was a nightmare! I did call the US Border Patrol Office last night and they told me that a Bill of Sale should be sufficient.

Wanted to follow up on this for anyone looking in the future.
Crossed the border this afternoon at the Rouses Point, NY station. The officer asked if the car was registered - I said that it was not, but that I had a bill of sale. She did not ask to see it and sent us on our way.
I will say that the lane to the officer's window was very, very narrow and winding and I would not recommend anyone with a trailer try to go through the normal "car" lanes. I had only a few inches total clearance with my little Trailex open trailer.

If you aren't a commercial truck with customs paperwork, don't try to go thru the truck lanes (unless you're directed by an officer to do so).
I've had customs problems by being in the wrong lane before. One time I was told that next time I should use the commercial truck lane. The next time I did, and I ended up getting yelled and having my truck searched.
"Truck" in the customs sense means commercial.
But as another data point, today at the Standstead crossing, we were in the only open car lane with our big truck/trailer. A customs officer approached us in the lane and asked if we were commercial. We told him we were not, and he asked us to use the commercial lane so their x-ray system could cover the entire height of the truck.

so, as the Canadian customs agent admonished me and Peter Perrault, "don't follow a GPS". This is because when coming from New Hampshire Sunday via Rouse's Point, Google routed us through farm roads into Canada bypassing customs. Unfortunately that farm road brought us to the Canadian road just North of the Canadian customs building from the East side. The Canadian agent walked over and he was pissed. Said turn around and go back. Not possible on a one lane crushed rock road with two trucks and trailers. So he took our passport sand decided we could make a circle and go South through the US Customs and then through Canadian customs like everyone else. AND he pointed out my trailer flat that had been punctured by the rocky road. Then US customs didn't like either of our passports and detained us. I don't know why I was detained but I think Peter is an ID thief and his real name is Jacques. Then I fixed the flat (second of the day) and we went through Canadian customs with no delay. On the way back we took a different route and Peter was again detained for an hour. I think this time he was Antoine.

I'll second the thought on the narrow "car" lanes - if there was any traffic I would have been in trouble because I had to back up and make a second run at it, entering the next lane to do it. Still think it was faster than the truck lanes. Also hit a construction sign in Montreal, (weird because I didn't notice any construction ) but after stopping traffic I managed to turn out a bit an avoid it scraping down the length of the trailer.

I heard Pete McP was held up at the Canadian side and was told to got back and then he got stuck in the US side due to the long line of Quebec residents going to the USA. He had no bill of sale and needed to have some forms on the US side to be filled.
I in turn had filled a US CBP form 4455 and got it stamped and processed in the USA side before entering Canada and it was a breeze both ways.
