Mt. Tremblant June 25-26 2018 Event Info
Hi All
Here's the details on the event:
1. It’s a busy weekend in the area. There is a triathalon (http://5150monttremblant.ca/) and this weekend is the National Holiday of Quebec, which is a popular long weekend for Quebecers to take some extra vacation time and enjoy the area. Bring some patience Saturday and Sunday when you’re making the trip up. The triathlon is based in the Village North of the track, and uses the roads in and out of the village for the bike and running events. There will be some road closures and detours. Here’s a link to a detailed list being provided for guests in the Village properties:
https://medias.tremblant.ca/pdf/eveneme ... 1528297842
The main event is Sunday, it starts early and the winner is known by noon; so, the later you arrive Sunday, the better off you are traffic-wise. If you are staying in the village check with your hotel about any parking issues. There is also a motorcycle event happening at the track itself Thursday and Friday.
2. The gates to the track will be open Sunday the 24th from 5pm to 10pm, Mon June 25 from 7am to 10pm, and Tues the 26th from 7am to 7pm. In addition, it will be possible to drop off trailers Friday and Saturday 9am-5pm, and to leave trailers there on Wednesday if you are staying in the area a few extra days. Coordination with the staff at the track is REQUIRED, don’t just drop anything and run. They will direct you to where they need you to park.
3. The Main entrance is at 1281 Chemin du Village, this is the first entrance you pass coming from the south. If you’re driving a big rig especially, please use this entrance. There is a second entrance up the road just past Lac Moore (Chemin du Sequin) that will be open if you are driving your track car and staying in the Village area.
4. Camping is allowed on the property, but you’re going to be off the grid – no hook-ups. There is a dump station and access might be available Tuesday late before you leave
5. The café’ will be open for lunch at the track
6. Registration opens on Monday at 7:00am and closes at 8:00am. Tech opens at 7:05am and closes at 8:05am. There may be availability the night before but no promises. The event is currently at about 60 drivers, so night before Registration/Tech sis not going to be needed.
7. There are no garages. Bring a pop-up or two.
8. The racing surface, including track entry, exit and hot pit, is clockwise. At no time may any vehicle operate in a counter-clockwise direction on track unless so directed by an event official.
9. The default sound limit is 92 decibels on the A scale measured at 15 meters from the track edge. Vehicles violating the limit will be black flagged and not allowed on track without corrective measures. Please come prepared. This limit will be strictly enforced. NO refund will be given for that day for cars that are flagged for sound!
10. Motor vehicles are not allowed on the race track after closing (cold) in the evening until opened next morning. Bicycling and walking on the race track during non-use (cold) hours is not yet certain, we will be asking about access to walk the track Sunday night and will post on the forum and App if we can get it.
11. Firearms and fireworks of any kind are prohibited.
12. There are cars moving around most of the time; small children may not be left unsupervised.
13. Pets must be on a leash at all times while on track property.
14. Radio controlled drones or any device that intentionally leaves the ground may not operate on the track property.
15. Non-street legal vehicles may be operated on track property only. Anyone operating a non-street legal vehicle off-property will be banned from the premises.
16. No bedding of brakes allowed on any of the roads outside of the actual racing surface.
17. No alcohol may be consumed on -property until the track surface is closed (cold) at end of day.
18. Illegal drug possession or use on property is not permitted at any time. Persons using prescription drugs that bear warnings against operating motor vehicles shall not use the race track surface and are not allowed. Persons violating these policies may be immediately escorted from the premises.
19. Oil, transmission fluid, anti-freeze, or other hazardous fluids must leave with you. There is no facility for waste fluids.
20. There is no fuel available at the track. There is gas is available about a mile away from the track using the North gate – turn left off Sequin onto Village and look for the CREVIER gas station on the right. If you are staying south of the track, there are multiple gas stations in the main town of Saint-Jovite. Bring gas cans; there will be plenty of track time for all!
21. There is a PA system, and we will try to use the App to communicate as much as possible. However, we have no idea what the cell phone coverage is like, or what if any Wi-Fi is available on track property. Check with your service provider to see if you have or can get temporary service in Canada. Then load the app if you don’t have it already and turn on notifications please.
This will be posted on the App also, and I will update both if anything changes

I believe that 1281 Chemin du Village IS Chemin du Sequin. The only entrance

A few questions have arisen with regards to which gate to enter. I've uploaded a picture that should hopefully help. It is recommended that the haulers use the south entrance, and will need to cross the track (just after start/finish) to obtain paddock access. Cars and smaller trailers can use the regular entrance (Chemin Seguin) but please be aware that due to the triathlon the road may be closed depending on your arrival time.

The “South” entrance brings you on to the property via the go-kart track.

Just a quick note that the link provided in Tom's post is for the Saturday event only. The link for Sunday's is
m.eu.ironman.com/triathlon/events/americas/ironman-70.3/mont-tremblant.aspx
I had to open the maps for both days events in Chrome to get them to show. Hope this helps with the arrivals.

There was no discussion directly with the track about staying on Saturday night, if that's what you're getting at. I will ask and hope for an answer early Friday

Latest word form the Track:
Those who will be camping out with trailers are welcome to bring their trailer Saturday and stay over night
As mentioned above the gates (both gates) will be open and manned at the times indicated. The rest of the times the gates will be locked- ie; no cars, trucks or rickshaws coming in or out. The pedestrian gate will remain open.
So if you are camping, your truck is locked in at night. But you can walk out to the local shops and restaurants on Chemin du Village it's under a mile, or coordinate with the other campers and someone leave a truck parked on the outside of the gate before closing time.
