license question??
last season because of a severe illness that had me a number of months in the hospital and then many more in recovery i was not able to renew my comscc license .
i emailed a few times to who i think is the person in charge of that and sent a message on FB with no replies.
i went to motorsports reg and renewed my membership on 1/5?/2018 and it went thru.
it has been many months and i have not received my 2018 license yet.
my wife and i want to run our 2015 Ferrair 458 spider in a few comscc events this season and later the 458 challenge car she would like to get her comscc license also.
so the big question is just who do i contact and if i missed one years renewal do i have to go thru the licensing again?

Re: license question??
My suggestion would be for you to email your question to chiefinstructor@comscc.org

Re: license question??
I just checked all of the received messages on our FB account and there is nothing there from you going all the way back to origination of the account. That isn't to say that you may not have sent something, I'm not sure FB is a super reliable form of communication over say....email.
Please retry email to the Chief Instructor. We all need reminders now and again.

Re: license question??
i got a reply
for what ever reason me clicking on the contact doesn't work at least for me. i tipped in the address and it went thru.
my hun and i are looking forward to doing some comscc events this season.
my bone stock miata is just not any good for t30 ( and no i want the car stock) so the question is were will a stock 2015 ferrari 458 spider or a
2018 bone stock subaru WRX STI type RA be classed?????

Re: license question??
With green-eyed jealousy, I can tell you that the 458 Italia has a showroom assessment of 98.2 (T90). I didn't find the STI exactly in the 2018 classing sheets, but from earlier MY's it looks like T70.

Re: license question??
My only concern regarding the convertible is if it has adequate roll over protection for our rules. I know absolutely nothing about Ferraris, but typically, open cars need a roll bar of some sort.

Re: license question??
the Ferrari 458 spider is a convertible hard top not a soft top car so no roll over protection is needed.
the down side to the spiders are weight 3384 LBS.
the italia's weight 3274 LBS
it's a 110 LBS difference.
when we take delivery of the 458 challenge car the rules in challenge if i remember right will not let us be lighter then 2745 LBS challenge is spec racing .
i'm not sure where we will be classed with the challenge car? both my PC's will not load the classing sheet i will have to get the laptop for my hun and see if i can down load on that?
my guess is the STI type RA would still be classed in T70? the 2018 RA's have some improvements a little lighter over a stock STI but the power is about the same they changed 3 gear for the RA's and beefed up the motor with new pistons. our 2015 STI blew a motor after one year of having it. problem with them was pistons. the RA is Subaru's STI track car being built more for people that do track days.
