camping at tremblant?

Post by Christine D » Tue Jul 26, 2005 1:22 pm

Okay, I guess I'll be the one to ask this time...

Can we camp at the track on Wednesday evening? I was only able to get into the Coq de la Montague on the 5th, so I figured I would camp the first night.
The word I got is that while camping is not officially permitted, the gate is locked ~11 pm with whatever or whomever on the premises -- no one is going to kick you out.

For $17 you can bunk with me (and about a dozen others) in a dorm-style youth hostel, Auberge du Mont St-Jovite, at 695 rue de la Montagne. I wanted a shower, high-speed internet, breakfast and a bed (no private rooms were available).

Thanks! Their number is 819-429-6225, or you can book on www.hostelworld.com, if anyone else waited until now to find a room.
Camping is actually officially permitted. Gates are open
all day, and you can drop off cars/motorhomes after
noontime. There is a school event in progress the day
before us, so please be respectful.

There are no showers or electricity. Rest rooms may be
locked overnight. Gates are locked promptly at 11pm,
regardless of which side of the gate you are on!
Camping is not allowed at the track during general admission racing events.

But our event is private and I doubt that many people will likely show up to see us go around plus want to pay an admission price & camp out.
