Hi all -
I'm planning to put in identical fixed back halo seats for both the driver and passenger, 6-point harnesses with a roll bar, into my otherwise stock car. Is it okay to run with a brand new passenger seat that was produced in 2012, and has thus expired this year? The seat will be for instructors, etc. as I'm just a novice.
I'm considering the Cobra Evolution since it has an "open" halo design that offers decent visibility that allows me to safely drive to the track. The driver's seat will be current (not expired).
Thanks!
Expired FIA seat for Passenger
Re: Expired FIA seat for Passenger
I don't believe our rule book states any requirements regarding FIA seats. Hopefully Tom (chief of Tech) will weigh in.

Thanks for asking
We're not currently requiring seats to be "in date", so as long as it's in good condition and properly mounted, you would be fine to run with it.
