Track Guide - I Need Your Help!

Post by PaddyMcP » Fri Aug 25, 2006 3:39 pm

I am putting together a track guide for COM members. I want to make a handy little book for each member of the club that will be packed full of usefull information on each of the tracks on the COM schedule. We've all found ourselves in need of very specific resources in immediate range of the race tracks. I want to create a guide that will help all of us when we get into trouble, or when we're just looking for the closest place to fill the tank up with 93.

My goal is to have information for the following services:

-fuel stations (93 and diesel)
-wheel/tire mounting and balancing service center
-best economy and first class hotels
-best economy and first class restaurants
-complete dealer list w/ parts and service manager contact information
-general parts store (Autozone, CAP, Canadian Tire, Etc. )

What I Need From You!

Very simple. If you have had an awesome experience at a specific hotel at Tremblant, a Mazda dealer at Lime Rock, or ate great dinner at Mosport - I want to know about it! It's not hard to find the closest gas station but it is hard to know which hotels "forget" about your reservation and double book your room leaving you out in the cold, or worse spooning with Raj in a twin bed.

I want to hear about your great experiences at NHIS, Lime Rock, Mosport, MT, Summit Point, Watkins Glen, VIR etc

So Let's hear it guys!

-Paddy

You really need to hear from Mick regarding the hotel/slum he almost stayed in at Mosport.

I first thought you were looking for a track driving guide. My first thought was "oh no...he's going to talk to Raj".

The guide would be turn (insert any number) at (insert any track): Bomb in there!

BMW CCA has a listing called "friends of BMW" that has some of this information, mainly for emergencies outside of your local area.

Good idea, for sure.

Paddy,
I stayed here
http://www.goplayoutdoors.com/Member/Au ... /index.htm
Last two times at MT. They allow dogs for a one time fee of $10.
It's about ten minuts from the track.
