FS: 3D modeling and CAD services..

Post by TroyV » Wed Nov 09, 2016 9:41 am

Just throwing this out there..

For you guys wanting to have your race car or other part design ideas detailed and modeled for a fabricator or machine shop, I am offering 3D modeling and detail drawings of your designs. After a consultation using your sketches/ideas/parts, and a design cycle, you would receive a pdf detail drawing of your part/assembly, and electronic files of the 3D model in formats that suppliers/fabricators use. I have a specialty in machined parts, sheet metal fabrication and roll form, injection molded and pressure formed parts, cast and forged parts, aluminum extrusions.....just about anything in any material. 30 years of experience in mechanical design. All the drawings would be dimensioned and toleranced to the latest standards and would also use geometric tolerancing if required. I can connect you with local shops and quick turn prototype houses that can make all these different kinds of parts.

I'm not really looking at this as a huge money maker (though it won't be free), but just a way to help racers and car builders get their ideas from concept to reality in a cost effective way. Jobs would be quoted depending on level of complexity and if additional engineering design is required.

If interested, contact me off line..

On edit: I am learning an alternative 3D modeling software tool to the one I normally use, and I would rather apply real projects to it than to just screw around.
