SA2005/Expired Helmet Use Extension

I am sure there may be a few out there like me who let their SA2005 helmets expire prior to getting a replacement

The problem I am seeing now is that a lot of SA2015 helmets are on backorder with indefinite delivery times

In talking to an authorized helmet dealer in the area, he told me that a lot of clubs have extended their expired helmet use for a few months due to the pent up demand in SA2015 helmets with lack of supply and indefinite delivery time

Could an expired helmet extension say through June/July be a possibility or will I have to beg, borrow, steal, or share a helmet for my first event (assuming the helmet is still in good condition)?

Looking forward to getting the season underway and seeing the motorsports family again!

EDIT - sorry I am seeing this has been discussed in the below thread and that the BOD is not relaxing on the usage of expired helmets... Beg, borrow, steal, share it is!
