2016 COMSCC - Upcoming Events March / April

Good evening folks. Registration for our first event will open on MSR this weekend. The first event is a Test Day at Canaan Raceway Park on April 23, 2016. The event is for licensed drivers and instructors only. We are limiting registration to 45 people. The event format will include run groups and tech inspection. There will be no time trial / competition aspect to this test day.

If you haven't completed your 2016 Annual Membership please do so by following the link below. Our next BOD meeting is on Wed March 16th, 2016 at Salvatore's Restaurant in Andover, MA. The meetings begin at 7:30pm but most arrive early for dinner prior to starting the meeting.

Also worth noting that even if you do not plan to be on track you are welcome to come help.
Tech inspection, flagging and other light volunteer work will be much appreciated.
I plan to be there to collect classroom material and help out any way I can.

Bruce, it's a question for Sam but I can tell you there is overnight but not in pit area and need to be in by a certain time and gates will be closed so you will technically you will be in "lockdown".
More details from Sam, he is in direct contact with the track manager.

Here is a view of Canaan that came to me today. Those of you that were there can see that the big oval turn has been replaced with access to the new section that goes up by the grandstands.

Is the direction clockwise? I did watch some recent videos,but just wondering if that's the direction it will be run. Sure seems bigger..

Its about 1.3 or 1.4 miles. The direction run last fall was clockwise. That seems like the most logical direction but probably could be run counter clockwise.
