2016 Elections
The 2016 COMSCC Board of Directors and Officers voting announcement has just been sent! I am not running for re-election to the COMSCC BOD next year, but I am retaining my position as Chief Steward. With the new business I need to simplify my life a little bit, and this was a necessary step.
I think there are a number of fantastic incumbent and new candidates on the ballot for 2016. However, if there's one person I'd strongly encourage you to consider, it would be Dave Lemoine. If you have actually been to a COM event, you already know that Dave is a great instructor and fast as hell. What you might not know is that I've worked with Dave for the past 7 years, and IMO he's the exact kind of guy you want in a leadership role in this club - a thoughtful and thorough executive with a strong background in business operations, technology, and finance. Finally, Dave is obsessed with racing and puts 100% into everything he does - I'm convinced that if elected, he will earn your vote over the entire season.
Happy New Year, happy voting, and thanks for reading!

My vote is in..
I agree with Nick on the candidacy of Mr Lemoine. As one of his rivals in 50, I have interacted with him quite a bit over the last couple of years. He is a fierce competitor and drives his ass off. It is weird, but I have found myself rooting for him, even though I want to beat him. It must be some sort of Jedi mind trick. Dave cares a great deal about our club and the direction it is heading in. I think he has some really good ideas regarding future initiatives.
Get your votes in!!! There are hundreds of active members in the club.... There is no reason why there shouldn't be a good turn out.

Re: 2016 Elections
Hey Nick, can you be my campaign manager too?
Being a member since 2000 and currently the Classroom Instructor I have finally shaken off all my duties with the kids soccer clubs where I was president, coach, etc. and I see my expertise in volunteer associations that I have been active since university days be put to practice for the benefit of COM.
I have many constructive ideas I'd like to bring to the table and continue to be significantly engaged with COM by now seeking a directors position.
Thank you in advance for your vote of confidence. Hope Dave also makes it as well, he is a great person, and has solid creative ideas.

Re: 2016 Elections
I'm seeking a directors position again this year as well. I've enjoyed getting to work with others and see this side of the club and what goes into making this all happen.
So vote for me. If I don't get on I'll refuse to print your competition licenses.
Just kidding.
