Will COM be considering an event at Tamworth?

Post by CalypsoBean » Tue Dec 22, 2015 2:19 pm

Does anyone here know anything about Club Motorsports, the facility that's opening in Tamworth?

Try a search. You'll get 8 pages, going back to 2005.

I thought the new article and the paving plans might have prodded some renewed interest in the track.

Rest assured there's plenty of interest.

We've been watching this project drag on for a very long time. There's still more work to be done, and a lot of pavement, but we're as excited about this great looking track as you are. As it gets closer to ready for road racing rather than rally cars, we'll be renewing our contacts and making our inquiries as to getting some days there.

NEQ has booked a 2 day event for next fall (Sept12th,13th) at Club Motorsports..so there is lots of optimism. Track looks to be a winner! :D :sunny:

Freshly paved WGI or maybe paved Tamworth? I know where I would rather be.

I'll let you know how great it is. :) I am running the AER endurance race there 4/22-24, assuming that the track isn't under 2 feet of snow.

Did a lead / follow there yesterday.
2.5 miles, 300 feet of elevation change, 40' wide.
Phenomenal.
Video with pavement. (not mine) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzZLemQmxcM

That's a looong uphill from T1 past T5. Miata drivers may want to bring a book.

I believe COM has a $1,000 deposit for a date dating back many years. I hope it is getting interest.
