Mazda Shootout

Post by blindsidefive0 » Wed Oct 28, 2015 7:53 am

Mazda is taking a mix of club racing champions, iRacing champions, and otherwise talented prospects and pitting them against each other to find a pro racer. This is a ridiculously cool opportunity, and they are being really thoughtful about it (lots of focus on the driver, as opposed to the heavy publicity angle of the Nissan program) - I'll be rooting for old friend and former GT Academy classmate Glenn McGee.

Maybe we should give them them an earful about not considering ClubOfMiatas Sports Car Club Miata Cup winners...

Hey Hi Oh,

COM stands for Corvettes of Massachusetts, always did and always will since 1958

You actually mean MOC....... Miatas of Connetcuit, Miatas of Colorado, Miatas of Concord, etc.

Hey Bruce,

that sounds great. Some of us may be older men , but we still have plenty of gas in the tank...... just ask Sam.

To be really precise, COM started as "Corvettes of Massachusetts" , briefly changed to "Clarks of Maine" during the early '90s, but has definitely become "Club of Miatas" in its current incarnation.
