Received the following message from Speed Secrets. I don't think I can swing this, but figured I'd share in case someone else wants to take care of a bucket list item...


"If you have ever dreamed of driving the Nurburgring Nordschliefe, but didn't know where to start, now is your chance to make that dream a reality. Nurburgring devotee, Tom Roberts, and I would like to invite you to join us for a trip in the summer of 2016 to spend 2 days at this highly challenging and rewarding racetrack.

The trip will include everything you will need to make it a special one. Most importantly, you will receive preparation in the U.S. for driving the Ring from Tom and me. When you arrive in Germany you will have the best tools available to drive the track at a level far beyond what you could do solo.

This trip will be limited to 15 drivers, so it will likely fill up fast. The schedule for the Ring typically comes out in February, at which point we will let you know the exact dates we are going.

To help viewers of Cosmos distinguish between "millions" and "billions", Sagan stressed the "b". Sagan never did, however, say "billions and billions". The public's association of the phrase and Sagan came from a Tonight Show skit. Parodying Sagan's affect, Johnny Carson quipped "billions and billions". The phrase has however now since become a humorous fictitious number
