American Endurance Racing at Whiskey Hill Fri/Sat/Sun

Post by breakaway500 » Fri Jun 19, 2015 10:51 am

American Endurance Racing at Whiskey Hill this Friday/Sat/Sun. (June 19/20/21) Interesting format of classifying cars/drivers by times (with transponders) on Friday of an event, and then 9hr races on Sat/Sunday with overall winners etc. Looks like a nice entry level wheel to wheel series with most events being in the east. I think I will mosey up on Saturday and check it out. http://www.americanenduranceracing.com

I'll be there all weekend with the McParland's and their S2000 - stop by and say hello if you get a chance

We're currently on provisional pole during qualifying with it just about wrapped up - the classing system may cause some sandbagging, but i'll take the good results! ***

Wish us luck!

Cheers!

***We were just squeaked out of pole position by 1.018" but qualifying's not done yet, and we'll have 9hours to make up any difference

Thanks - Saturday was a great battle with some misfortune and terrible calls, but we had some luck, a great crew, and three phenomenal drivers to grab first place

Sunday was definitely a whole other monster altogether!

I'll have more of the story and some pictures up shortly after I decompress a bit

So how did the new FIA seat adjuster work out. Did you guys get the belts in a place where moving the seat worked out OK.

The Recaro seat adjuster worked out well with the driver height differences. I mostly worked fuel and not driver changes for the weekend, so I didn't get to see what it took to get the seat forward and up and belts to where they needed to be from driver to driver, but it looked like it went pretty smoothly. I don't know the man, but I appreciate his work - Chris Howard did an awesome job with the fabrication

I haven't had much time to work on the pictures and story from our AER weekend with me running NHMS #2 Saturday (south oval configuration - ridiculously fun/fast! thanks COM mgmt/Nate Hine!) this past weekend, but I'll have it wrapped up shortly - I mean, I pretty much already gave away the goods with letting out our first place finish Saturday; not much to keep you all on the edge of your seats

Hahahaha - right! If you were at turn 15 (COM's T14 - T3 changed to T2, and corners the same from there) coming on to the front then there is definitely a bit more to the story from Sunday :D

Did I meet you at the end of the day by a chance? Sorry, the weekend all kind of went by in a blur

Probably.

I have the CR-X. You would probably recognize me by my point by every time I saw the S2K in the mirror. LOL
