COMSCC STORE
why is there not a comscc store on the web site ?
I would like to buy some new comscc decals .
my comscc TEE is also getting a bit old and I would like to get a new one also .
I did buy some things from driverssupply with the comscc logo on them but now even that is gone .
the only option is to go to a event and hope to buy some thing there . that just sucks !
there is nothing even in the contact list to email about comscc swag .
if it's to costly to add it to the comscc site how about adding it the facebook page ?

Re: COMSCC STORE
I would also love to see a COMSCC store. Would be cool to be able to buy swag to advertise the club. I see the down side though. Who would be in charge of running said store? Yet another "job" to handle for the club.

Yeah. Although it is a bit of work the create a store, that's not the problem. It's all the risk and work of holding inventory, running logistics, and fulfillment.
There are services that will do on-demand printing and fulfillment but they're expensive and I've found the quality to be sub-par.

Re: COMSCC STORE
I was just thinking ?????
I'm trying to get a dealers thing going for carbotech pads rotors and such just for us comscc members to get a discount .
carbotech states you have to have a web site so it could be a site for also comscc swag .
I would not care if I also did the swag thing as if the carbotech deal works comscc members would order there brake pads and rotors from the site any way .
I would have to have inventory of pads and rotors here at my shop so it wouldn't be a big deal if I did both swag and brakes for comscc .

Come to the board meeting and make your pitch- otherwise it's just a complaint.

Re: COMSCC STORE
I would love to and I will see if I can take the time off from work .
the problem is I'm self employed so I will have to close up early then i live over 3 hours way from the meeting and to top it off it's a 100 dollars in fuel cost for me to get there .

Re: COMSCC STORE
This is a great idea. This sport is challenging the budget beyond the 'wifes' reasoning. In order to do more events we need to get the cost down. Preparing a web site 'portal' to accommodate a COMSCC store is pretty easy. Personally I think it could also be a place to direct social media besides FB; through driver and team profiles etc. retailers will work with you; but COMSCC has to sell itself.962porsche wrote:I was just thinking ?????

Re: COMSCC STORE
I'm thinking the reason with me trying to get a real comscc store going was 1st some think I was looking to make money on it . not true ! Comscc would be like the business owner not me .
2nd as soon as you say it's going to cost any thing like for instance carbotech wants 500 dollars to set up the account and for the 1st order to be placed .
people think they are getting so big savings from buy pads from saferacer .
with the discount I did with saferacer to what I paid for my carbotech pads I saved another 30 dollars over the saferacer discount .
with most places the more you buy the more you save . because of my shop being small I have the lowest discount they offer and I still made out much better then any discount saferacer gives .
tires are the same way .
I talked with hoosier and some other tire CO's they too would be happy to discount tires for comscc members if we had a comscc store .
tee's hats and other comscc swag we are buying it now nothing new there but the problem is getting the swag to the members .
things like the moroso coolant tank for my Miata they sell for 150 dollars if there were a comscc store we could get them at a dealer price . would it be nice to get the same coolant tank for say 75 to 100 dollars .
but then people started to say they get free shipping .
it's way over peoples heads that 1st shipping is never free you still pay for it and that because your buying at a dealer cost not list cost even if you did not want to pick the parts up your self or wait until a event to get them your still making out loads better even paying to ship some thing from one location to a club members location .
as for driversupply that was a business of Nate's and Johns had nothing to do with COMSCC other then they did sell some comscc swag . I'm not sure but if you bough comscc swag from driversupply the money did not go to comscc but to driversupply .
the comscc store I was thinking of getting going would be all comscc any then made for a sale would be going to comscc not in any ones pocket .
